OVERVIEW :
This program
prepares networking professionals to enhance skills in Cisco networking
environment and master required materials of
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
certification. The program combine Interconnecting
Cisco Network Devices course,
Internetworking Concept-INC course, and CCNA Pre-exam Guide.
OBJECTIVES
In order to
perform the course goal, students should be able to fulfill the following
tasks:
- Use Cisco software to
identify addresses, protocols, and connectivity
status in anetwork containing multiple
interconnected Cisco devices.
- Interconnect Cisco switches
and routers according to given network design specification.
- Configure Cisco switches and
routers to support a specified list of protocols and technologies.
- Configure access lists to
control access to network devices or segments and general network
traffic.
- Verify that Cisco switches
and routers, as well as their configured network services and protocols,
operate as intended within a given network specification.
PREREQUISITES
Prospective
student must have basic knowledge of data networking equivalent to the
material found in Cisco's Internet
Technology Multimedia CD-ROM (ITM). Generally the student should have a basic
understanding of networking concepts
and an exposure to IP or IPX networking. Specifis
prerequisites include a basic understanding of the following:
- Commonly used networking
terminology and topologies
- Internetworking Fundamentals
- The OSI internetworking
model.
- Accessing the internet or an
intranet
